Research interests

Lili is a geographer and demographer whose current project is focused on supporting Australian Capital Territory (ACT) Education Directorate to enhance its student demand model projection capability. As an interdisciplinary researcher, she has wide-ranging research interests in quantitative geography, demography, spatial analysis and modelling:

  • Integrated school enrolment modelling
  • Urban infill study
  • Spatial analysis
  • Education inequality
  • Urban studies and migration
  • Geodemographics 
  • Multilevel modelling  


Lili is currently working in the School of Demography on the Integrated School Enrolment Modelling project. She works collaboratively with the academics in the School of Demography and ACT Education Directorate staff directly responsible for school planning.


Lili was awarded a PhD in June 2019 in School of Geography, University of Leeds, UK. Her PhD work was focused on understanding the dimensions of education inequality in China at different geographical scales
