Dr Lex van Loon
Biography
Lex van Loon obtained his bachelor degree in Technical Medicine from the University of Twente, followed by a master’s in Medical Signaling. His PhD work was a close collaboration between the RadboudUMC’s intensive care unit together with the faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Twente. His PhD focused on modelling and predicting the physiological consequences of novel therapeutic strategies for patients with septic shock. In his current post-doctoral fellowship at the Australian National University he focusses on patient-specific dynamic models of human physiology. Combining his skills on in silico mathematical modelling, with the use of artificial intelligence in bio-computation.
