Biography

Lhawang Ugyel is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Crawford School of Public Policy. His field of research is comparative public administration specializing in public sector reforms, policy transfer, evaluation studies and cross-cultural studies.

Prior to completing his PhD program at the ANU, he worked for the Royal Government of Bhutan in various capacities. He was the Senior Human Resource Officer for the Royal Civil Service Commission Secretariat for 7 years. And he was also appointed as a Policy Analyst with the People's Project Research Office, a think tank organization started by His Majesty the King of Bhutan.

During his PhD program, he also worked for the Australian Diabetes Edcuators Association as a Research Officer from 2010-12, and as a Research Assistant for the project funded by ANZSOG to develop a diagnostic tool to test organisational readiness for change from 2012-13.
