Biography
Dr Thien Truong is currently a research fellow in the School of Engineering. He is working on the applications of advanced characterization techniques for photovoltaic materials and devices, and the fabrication of silicon solar cells with the novel passivating-contact technology. Thien is also serving as a Student Activities Coordinator (2022 and 2023 Terms) for the IEEE ACT Section, Student Activities Chair for the 2023 IEEE Region 10 Symposium (TENSYMP), and Academic Representative for the 2022 CECS WHS Committee.
Thien received his Degree of Engineer in Machinery Manufacturing Technology from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education, Vietnam in 2015, a Master of Science degree in Intelligent Micro Nano Systems from Konkuk University, South Korea in 2018, and recently a PhD in Engineering (photovoltaics) from ANU in July 2022.
