Research interests

Progenitors of transient phenomena from binary stars, in particular Type Ia supernovae (binary evolution histories, birth rates and delay times).

I am an ARC Future Fellow and Senior Lecturer at the University of New South Wales Canberra. From 2014 - 2017 I was a research fellow in the Research School of Astronomy & Astrophysics at ANU. Prior to that, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics in Garching, Germany.

I'm interested in finding out which stars make white dwarfs that go on to do interesting things (e.g., explode as thermonuclear supernovae).
