Biography

Andrew Ross is a Research Fellow at the Australian National University and the National Centre for Groundwater Research and Training.   He is a member of the management group of the Groundwater Solutions Initiative for Policy and Practice, leading globally relevant strategic initiatives to promote sustainable groundwater governance and management.  He also leads the International Association of Hydrogeologists working group on economic aspects of managed aquifer recharge and collaborates with the OECD on best practices and indicators of integrated water management.  Before joining the ANU he was policy director in the Australian Department of Environment and Heritage and the Treasury. He also worked for the OECD's Environmental Directorate.
