Research interests

  1. Linear and circular dichroism (LD and CD, electronic and vibrational), luminescence and Raman methods, for the study of molecular systems.
  2. Structure, function and intermolecular interactions of protein systems, including fibrous and membrane proteins.
  3. Structure and function of DNA, DNA/ligand and DNA/protein systems.

Available student projects

Alison is working in a wide range of spectroscopic techniques especially relating to developing new techniques for the characterisation of biomacromolecules. She is a director of the ARC Industrial Transformation Training Centre in Facilitated Advancement of Australia's Bioactives.
