Ibrahim is a research fellow with the Australian National University (ANU), Canberra, Australia. Ibrahim was awarded a Ph.D. of computer science from University of Canberra in 2015. Between 2014 and 2016, Ibrahim was working as a Researcher in the Computer Vision group at Seeing Machines Ltd.

His research includes developing and implementing algorithms in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence. Ibrahim has published research articles in top-tier computer science conferences such as ICCV, ACCV, and one of his papers has been nominated for best paper award in the international conference of multimedia and expo.
