Biography

Louisa is originally from the UK, having completed a degree in Applied Geology from the University of Leicester, a Masters in Mining Geology from Exeter University's Camborne School of Mines and a PhD in Mining Engineering from the University of Nottingham. She also holds a post-graduate certificate in business.

Her career comprises experience in both industry and academia.  Louisa has worked for consultancies, tech transfer companies, tier 1 mining companies, commercial laboratories and as a senior researcher, senior lecturer and Associate Dean of teaching and learning.  Currently Louisa is an adjunct at Curtin Univeristy, University of Sydney and the University of Queensland, supporting research and connection to industry.  She has also been a member of the MRIWA College panel in Western Australia.

Louisa's main experience rests in the areas of orebody knowledge, including studies into technology, for process mineralogy, geometallurgy and comminution.  Her current role incorpoprates the professional and academic development opportunities for both employees, as well as assiting in setting up university agreements to attract high calibre students into the mining industry, through post graduate courses.

Louisa currently lives and works in Western Australia.
