Biography

Over 25 years as a researcher at ANU on the interactions between humans and our landscapes touching upon grazing lands, fire management and the impacts of climate change.  During this time I worked in, and led, international scientific collaborations establishing the scientific basis of climate change and its impacts. I also played numerous roles in scientific synthesis reports such as the IPCC and the Millenium Ecosystem Assessment.  I then spent 10 years at the World Bank playing a lead role in their efforts to achieve climate resilient development outcomes.  Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering.
