Biography

Dr Rajeev Kumar is currently working as a senior consultation-liaison psychiatrist with expertise in clinical and academic neuropsychiatry. He is also an A/Professor of psychiatry at the ANU.
He completed a PhD at the Australian National University in neuropsychiatric epidemiology and neuroimaging under the mentorship of Professors Anthony F Jorm, Perminder S Sachdev and Helen Christensen. He has published broadly in the area of mild cognitive impairment (MCI), dementia, structural neuroimaging, successful ageing, and drug-induced movement disorders.
He is actively involved in both undergarduate and postgraduate teaching and supervision.

Researcher's projects

1. Personality and Total Health (PATH) Through Life 60+ Longitudinal Study at the ANU - clinical collaborator (current)

2. Successful Aging: A Multiethnic Asian Study (past)

A large cross-sectional study conducted in Singapore, aimed at determining the bio-psycho-social correlates of productive aging.
