Biography

I am a Doctor in International Relations (2017), Honourary Lecturer with the Fenner School of Environment and Society, and Senior Economist with Vivid Economics. My expertise is environmental and climate policy, having advised the Australian parliament on the ratification of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change. I am passionate about exploring the governance of emerging technological systems, including geoengineering, AI and synthetic biology. I hold both a Doctorate in International Relations (2016) and a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies with first class honours from the ANU (2011). I am a regular media commentator and my research has been covered by international media outlets such as the New York Times, the Guardian, the Washington Post, and the New Yorker.
