Biography

Dr Armin Haller is an Associate Professor with a joint appointment at the Research School of Management (RSM) and the Research School of Computer Science (RSCS)

Armin was the MBA Director at RSM from 2017 to 2019, and Deputy Director of Engagement and Outreach from 2018 to 2019. He has been teaching Masters and PhD courses, and is currently convening Digital Transformation at RSM and Introduction to Programming for Data Scientists at RSCS. He supervises students at Honours, Masters and PhD levels in both Schools.

Armin engages with the Australian ICT industry through his managing of the W3C Office Australia. He is also active in several W3C working groups, mostly recently he has chaired the Semantic Sensor Network Ontology working group. Armin is also a passionate evangelist of Open Government Data. He has been chairing the Australian Government Linked Data Working Group that aims to improve the accessibility of government data for the last 7 years.
