Biography
Evan Franklin is a senior lecturer and fellow at ANU, with expertise in silicon solar cells, photovoltaic systems and electrical power systems. He has authored numerous conference and journal papers on solar cell modelling and fabrication, and on laser processing for silicon photovoltaics. His current research interests include modelling and manufacturing of high efficiency solar cell concepts, the development and incorporation of laser processes suitable for industrial PV manufacturing, and the integration of renewable energy generation into the electrical power network.
Evan is passionate about high-quality tertiary education and teaching activities; he is currently course convenor and lecturer for 'ENGN4625 Power Electronics' and 'ENGN8527 Grid Integration of Renewables'.
