Research interests

My research focuses on using computational methods, in particular, molecular dynamics simulations, to understand how membrane proteins interact with lipids and other biomolecules in atomistic detail.  Currently I am addressing various questions concerning venom peptides, which target biological ion channels embedded in membranes.

I obtained a PhD in Biochemistry under the supervision of Prof Alan Mark at the University of Queensland (2008-2011), and joined Prof Shin-Ho Chung's group as a postdoc in May 2011. My research at ANU has been supported by MAWA Trust and NHMRC.
