Researcher's projects

RIPPLE UNIVERSITY BLOCKCHAIN RESEARCH INITIATIVE

Scott attracted a $1 million USD research grant from Ripple Labs to fund blockchain and smart contract research and teaching at the ANU. This 5-year program saw the development of two innovative courses on blockchain and legal innovation for lawyers, plus numerous prototypes of smart contract use-cases.

EVERNODE SMART CONTRACT NETWORK

The UBRI research culminated in the Evernode Network, a "layer 2"smart contract network that launched on 15 January 2024 and currently has over 6,500 independent nodes running the Evernode dApp hosting software.

ANU LEGAL ROLE PLAY SOFTWARE

Scott created an innovated legal role-play software that allowed lecturers to take legal problems and turn them into multi-player online games where students practice being lawyers on opposite sides of real-life matters. The software has attracted $50,000 in commercialisation funding from the ANU. He is currently exploring options for adding AI/LLM support for this software.
