Chair of the Information Exchange Committee for six years and Member of the ACT Casino Surveillance Authority for three years. Deputy Secretary of the Departments of Housing and Construction and of Finance for over ten years. Auditor-General for ten years.
Director on the International Consortium on Governmental Financial Management for seven years. Director of the International Federation of Accountants for three years and Chair, Audit and Risk Committee of CPAAustralia from 2005 to 2008. Life Member and Fellow of CPAAustralia. Fellow, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. Fellow, Institute of Public Administration Australia. Fellow, Governance Institute of Australia. Fellow, Chartered Institute of Secretaries. Fellow, Risk Management Institution of Australasia. Fellow, Australian Risk Policy Institute.
Appointed Member of the Order of Australia in 1992 and Officer of the Order in 2003.
