Research interests

Julie's research interests are in:

  • radio galaxy environments;
  • cosmic magnetism;
  • radio astronomy;
  • wide-field polarimetric imaging;
  • and citizen science.

Researcher's projects

Julie is currently working on the following projects:

  • Radio Galaxy Zoo (radio.galaxyzoo.org): a citizen science project designed to hunt for supermassive black holes.
  • The Australia Telescope Large Area Survey: a 1.4GHz survey of two areas on the sky to study galaxy evolution.
  • Evolutionary Map of the Universe: The ASKAP continuum survey designed to image the Southern sky at 1.4 GHz.

Available student projects

Available projects are all related to supermassive black holes and radio galaxies.  Each project can be changed to suit the student's interests and further information on each project can be found on the following links.
