Biography

Kinda AlSamara is a Lecturer in Arabic Language and Culture. She has a long and rich experience in teaching Arabic language at all levels across a broad range of academic and Australian government settings. She taught at The University of Sydney, The University of Queensland and Deakin University among others. Her research interests include Arabic literature, urban studies, education, media, gender and women’s social history across the Arab world with a particular focus on the Levant. Dr AlSamara has expertise in reading and interpreting traditional Arabic sources and manuscripts with high levels of insight. She welcomes Honours, Masters and Ph.D. students wanting to work on these research areas.
